Obituary of Larry D. Akers
Kendall – Larry Donald Akers passed on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the age of 70. He is survived by his wife, Catherine (Jurs) Akers; his children, L. Daniel (Dana) Akers and Keith Douglas (Shannon) Akers; his grandchildren, Theodore “Teddy” Akers, Makenna Morgan Akers, Grady Miles Akers and Claire Marie Akers. Larry was predeceased by his parents, Woodrow & Verlie (Tackett) Akers; his grandson, Brady Akers (2011), and his 3 brothers, Bobby, Billy and Rickie Akers.
Family and friends are invited to call Friday, August 23rd from 4 – 7 PM at the THOMAS E. BURGER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 735 East Avenue in Hilton. Larry’s Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 24th at 11 AM at the Hamlin United Methodist Church.
