My condolences to the family of Bob, how lucky you were, and I know you know that, to have him in your family. I worked with Bob at Kodak, and have many pieces of beautiful wordwork he made for me in my house to this day. I will never part with any of them, they are so special to me. We spent many fun times laughing at Kodak, rather than working, but so glad we did. I know Jim and Bob are together again, another wonderful friendship Bob had. This is the only way I can pay my respect to my wonderful friend who I thought so much of, as everyone else who knew him, did....."Happy Trails" my friend, you were unique, one in a million, and so glad of our time. Luv ya, Elaine Farrell Parizek
We thought about you today
But that is nothing new
We thought about you yesterday
And days before that too
We think of you in silence
We also speak your name
Now all we have are memories
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake
With which we'll never part
God has you in His keeping
We have you in our hearts.

Grandpa was two very important things to all of us - the very best example of how to be a parent (and grandparent) and friend. He said yes anytime someone needed him. But he also knew when you were able to do something for yourself, and he would show you how rather than do it for you. Always genuine, thoughtful, kind and sincere. We missed them every winter when they would enjoy better weather and friends (that were like family) in Florida, and celebrated their return every summer with his birthday celebration during the Kentucky Derby. He asked for nothing and gave everything he could.
Growing up I didn't fully appreciate the job he took on being a stepparent to my mom and her 3 siblings, and their spouses, how well he did it. Until I became a stepmom, and I thought so often of how he made it look so easy. I tried to be like him. And I wish I had told him that. But we all loved him so much, so I hope he knew that's because he'd been such a wonderful parent, grandparent, and friend. ~Theresa
Our hearts are broken. Bob and Monnie were a big part of our lives for many years. Our friendship blossomed for 6 months of every year over decades as we wintered in our Florida homes. Weekly trips to Pete’s, drives along the intercostal and many, many card games. The “boys” enjoyed their weekly golf dates too. So many laughs and so much loving friendship that will leave a forever void. Over Tim’s illnesses, Bob was right there to lend a helping hand by taking him to his many appointments and on one trip, he even had to carry Dad to help him into the car. This true kindness led us to adopt him into our Nova Scotia family. Our girls call him Uncle Bob and Tim calls him brother. Both Bob and Monnie left an impact on us all by showing us how to live your best life. They demonstrated faith, kindness and love. They were our wonderful friends and teachers.
Until we meet again... Tim and Barb Johnston and daughters Karen & Neil and Susan & Terry
