Obituary of Linda S. Lederhouse
Hilton - Linda Louise (Struebel) Lederhouse, born May 31, 1944, in Buffalo, NY, passed away suddenly on June 6, 2021, at the age of 77, peacefully in her home. Linda leaves behind her daughters, Wendy (Doug) Harrison, and Brooke (Andy) O’Reilly; and her 8 grandchildren, Josh (Jenna) Jones, Jacob Corey, Owen O’Reilly, Ian Graham, Grace O’Reilly, Molly O’Reilly, Eliza Corey and Riley Harrison. She will be greatly missed by her sister, Celestine Zarnstorff. She was predeceased by her parents, Leon and Helen Struebel; her sister, Ann Waggy; and grandson, Gabriel Corey.
Linda went to high school at Wilson High, in Wilson, NY, and spent her young adult years dedicated to being a loving mother to Brooke and Wendy. During this time, she was also an active member of the North Greece Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary and had continued to be a longtime social member. When her daughters left for college Linda joined the work force and later retired from Monroe Community Hospital where she spent many years working as a unit secretary. She was an active church member throughout the years; involved with choir and rosary group, and loved the Lord with all her heart. Linda’s world revolved around her grandchildren and she was regularly seen at their sporting events and other school activities. One would always know when Linda was around when you heard her, “woot, woot, woot”, on the sidelines. Linda enjoyed reading, and outings with friends, especially with her Thursday morning breakfast crew. We will always remember Linda for her thoughtful, caring ways, whether it be a card, flowers, small gift, phone call or simply a hug. She was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed!
Friends and family are invited to call on Monday, June 14th from 4 - 7 PM at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., 735 East Avenue in Hilton. Linda's Funeral Mass will be held at St. Lawrence Church, 1000 N. Greece Rd, Rochester, NY 14626, on Tuesday, June 15th at 9:30 AM. Please follow CDC guidelines for both events.
