Condolences
Maureen (Congdon) Berruti
God gave the Congdon Family the gift of Carolyn. She was my babysitter, teacher, sister, and dear friend. The first time we met, her and her beautiful Mom were visiting their cottage on Edgemere Dr. Over the years Carolyn taught me to sew, knit, make a garden, play cards, knock hornets nests off her garage, scream, laugh, cook, bathe in the lake, drink coffee and smoke cigarettes. I remember each of her pregnancies and got to babysit her gorgeous girls. We made so many puzzles at the cottage, all while she shared her wisdom with me. Every single person in our family loved her. She even dated two of my brothers. The last time we visited, we went to her and Dick's house on the lake then to their place in the Adirondacks. I need to thank God for sharing this incredible woman with us. Our love goes out to the whole family. God Bless
Carolyn was like a big sister for 60 years. We played cards out by the lake in front of our houses. There was always a puzzle to work on. She taught me how to sew, make spaghetti sauce and the best chicken rice casserole. She taught me how to be strong. She was always a constant..I knew she was there even though we lived on opposite sides of the country. I knew every time I called, she’d say “ it’s about time!”
I am going to miss her in so many ways. My love to Christine, Cheryl and Charlene and families AND to Dick. Sheila and Joe Bullock
