Obituary of David P. Kilmer
David P. Kilmer passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at the age of 74. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul Kilmer and Dawn Powell. He is survived by his children, Marisa (Joe) Giancursio and Kelly Kilmer; his brother, Daniel Kilmer; his sisters, Dianne Kilmer, Karen (Chuck) White, Nancy Kilmer Smith, and Kathleen Kryger; his grandchildren, Kobe, Adelise, and Avery; and many nieces and nephews.
David was a Kodak retiree and a US Army veteran. During his military service, he was chosen to be the driver for many high ranking officers and officials, and drove a car in Robert Kennedy's funeral procession. He loved working on computers. He was a musician, enjoying playing the guitar - Blues and Rock & Roll, as well as dancing, and was sometimes fondly referred to as "Hippie Dave" or #52 race car driver "Farmer Dave". One of his favorite pastimes was working on cars; in fact he built a car from scratch. David was a great story teller and a friend to all. He took it upon himself to be the caretaker of the family by trying to look out for all his siblings and other family members. His memory will go on in their lives forever, and he will be greatly missed.
Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, December 9th from 1 - 3 p.m. at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, 735 East Avenue in Hilton. A continued Celebration of Dave's Life wil be held on Sunday, December 17th, Dave's birthday, from 1 - 4 p.m. at the Willow Inn, 428 Manitou Road in Hilton.
