Condolences
I worked with Bev at LBCC. She was such a wonderful caring lady. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Penny Ezell
Beverly McKinney, Nonny (as my brother and I knew her), was a grandmother who shared stories of her life, like any other. She was a grandmother who baked cookies and cakes like any other. And she always had a gift when she came over (even if it was just a roll of toilet paper). But she was also a driving force behind your aspirations.
In the summer between my sophomore and senior years of high-school she payed for my driver's education class, and ended up driving home from those classes each day. And years later, when I finally went to college, she would help me get through the growing debt of each semester. Even as her own health started failing her, she to help support me in achieving my degree, financially and emotionally, and when I asked what I could do in return, she wouldn't hear of it. My success was all she wanted.
Beverly Mckinney was a caretaker, a mother, a grandmother, and driving force behind your dreams.
Aunt Bev was truly an angel on earth. She was always happy and laughing. She was always helping others. She took care of aunt Ollie aunt Peggy and uncle bibbie. I’ll always remember her mostly on the farm and at aunt Dee’s. We had so much fun together. She really is someone I’ve strived to be in life. I remember her mom aunt Bertie. Oh oh does that make me old? She was a lady just like her mom. She and my mom would talk every week. I know that made my moms week. We will see everyone again for we all have the love for Jesus. One thing I remember about aunt Bev is our laughing together and the cute outfits she always wore to the farm. And going to the amusement park where her sister lived. My real heartfelt sympathies are with you all. Look at your children and grandchildren and you will see your mom in them. I will miss her so much. Love to all my cousins. Jane and Mike
