Obituary of Janet I. Turpyn

Hilton - Janet I. Turpyn passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer, at the age of 71.  She was predeceased by her parents, Eugene Ingram & Marjorie Roberts; her daughter, Rhonda Platt; and her sisters, Dianne Hogg & Joanne Stadnyk.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dick Turpyn; her children, Randy (Shelly Reitz) Turpyn, Becky (Ken) Flansburg and Shelly (Paul) Heberger; her brothers, Gary, Mike, Tim (Dee Pratt), Dan & Patrick Ingram and Kenn (Kory) McCrory-Roberts; her grandchildren, Marcus & Natalie Flansburg, Joe & Beth Heberger, Jordan Turpyn and Antonio Platt; her great granddaughter, Miley Long; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Marilyn & Dick Kuhn, Nancy & Bob Roe and Ed & Marcia Turpyn; and many nieces & nephews.

Janet was a foster parent to over 150 children.  She enjoyed horses, flower gardening, bowling, collectibles and her dog "Cassy."

Friends and family are invited to call Wednesday, February 6th from 4 - 7 PM at the THOMAS E. BURGER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 735 East Avenue in Hilton, where her Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM.  Interment will be held in the spring in Parma Union Cemetery.
