HOLIDAY REMEMBRANCE
"Candle Lighting" Presentation 2022
2022 would have been the 34th year that Thomas E. Burger Funeral would present a Holiday Candle Lighting Service for the families we have served in the past year.
Unfortunately, there is still concern over threat of covid in large gatherings, so we felt it is our responsibility to try to keep everyone safe in our community.
Therefore we felt it best not to hold our annual “in-person” service in 2022.
These are for families we have served from
December 1, 2021 – November 30, 2022

December 2, 2018 - November 24, 2019
Appreciative comments about the Christmas Candlelight Service 2019:
... "want to thank you for the beautiful candlelight ceremony you had yesterday. What a beautiful way to honor our loved ones who won't be with us this Christmas. When you started honoring each person who passed away this year, I was awed by the personal information you had on each person. I was impressed by what each person contributed to our world .... thanks again for all your hard work ... "

Notes of appreciation for the Christmas Candle Lighting Service 2018:
"Just a short note to thank you for the very special {service} today. It was a beautiful event, and I believe brought much comfort to all in attendance. I know for me it was meaningful.....I also appreciate the series of booklets you have sent .... I share them with the kids ........... May God bless you for all you do to ease the burden of loss for others."
"I wish to take this time to thank you all for the candle lighting in honor of the families of those who have passed in the past year. It, for me, was very hard ... but wonderful to hear {my loved one} honored so graciously. Thank you so much."
"The Holiday Memorial Service was just beautiful yesterday. Thank you for the effort you put in to creating this event to honor those who have passed this year. It was overwhelming to see the number of people you have served, both young and old. Your compassion and understanding is so evident in all that you said. Thank you for being there when we needed you …. you were angels among others to get us through a most difficult time. Thank you for the candle lighting, snowflake and poinsettia to remind us of blessings and to carry on … thank you for all you do to bless others."
