Condolences
To Gene's Family, I am so sorry to read of Gene's death. He was such a friendly and likable guy, I always enjoyed chatting with him whenever I'd see him, usually in front of Tops selling tickets. I first met your parents when I sold Avon to your mom when you lived on Hillside Dr., and then after you moved to (I think) Moul Rd. Your parents were such loving and caring people with a good sense of humor and always a smile. May you take comfort knowing that they're together now and enjoying a pain-free life. My deepest sympathy to all of you.
Hi Dan, I remember seeing your parents in church and how devoted they were to each other - your dad was an exceptional caregiver to your Mom - I could tell they were a special couple, I would often stop to ask about you - many prayers at this difficult time..
My deepest sympathy to your entire family - from a long ago classmate of Gene's. Please know that my thoughts are with you all.
Sincerely,
Marilyn Lowden Koss Wright
To Dan and family, I'm so very sorry to hear of your father's passing. I know it has to be especially difficult since you just lost your mom 3 years ago as well. Your father looked like a very loving man. Keep those memories alive inside of you and through stories you share with others.
My family and I received this message from my Dad's care "buddy" at Saint Ann's that I want to share:
"Amy, Dan and the Krist Family, I just heard the news of your loss. I am saddened by Gene's passing. I had only a few months to get to know him at a time when he was struggling. I know I never saw him at his best. But it's interesting, how you can often see the real humanity in a person when you are with them in their struggles. Even when he was in pain, he would welcome me with a genuine smile and a kind word. He was always gracious, he genuinely appreciated the help of others and he clearly loved and was deeply proud of his children and family. I know you are grieving at your loss. I learned in losing my own parents the truth in this statement, so I share it with you: "Those we love the most are never lost to us, they are always in our hearts."
