Obituary of James E. Hare

Hilton - James E. Hare passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the age of 67. He was predeceased by his parents, Nelson and Kathleen (Ellis) Hare. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Smalley) Hare; his children, Valerie (Michael) Lonville, Michael (Rachel) Hare, and Thomas (Jacqueline) Hare; his grandchildren, Philip Lonville, Michael Hare, Kathryn Hare, Timothy Hare, Evelyn Hare, Ryan Sak, Carly Hare, and Alyssa Hare; his sister, Janice (Dave) Lloyd; and many friends and relatives.

James was a retiree from Eastman Kodak Company. He was a member of the Hilton Fire Department, Monroe County Fire Chiefs Association, Finger Lakes Regional Burn Association, New York Sate Associaion of Fire Chiefs, North Greece Fire Department, and the Lakeshore Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and deer hunting. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends in the community.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service for James on Friday, August 16th at 2:00 pm, at St. Paul Lutheran Church,158 East Avenue in Hilton. A catered Celebration of Jim's Life, with the opportunity to greet Barb, their children and the rest of Jim's family, will follow the service at the Hilton Fire Department, 120 Old Hojack Lane, Hilton.  A private Interment will take place in Parma Union Cemetery.
