Obituary of Jane Virginia Welcher
Greece: February 29, 2016 at age 94. Jane was predeceased by her husband, Robert James Welcher; parents, Howard James Sherman & Gladys Porter Sherman; sister, Ann Sherman Leggett; brothers-in-law, Jack Welcher and William Leggett. Jane is survived by her sister, Carol Welcher; sons, Jerry (Nancy) Welcher and James (Kathie) Welcher; daughters, Jacklyn (Daniel) Willing and Barbara (Douglas) Cordello; grandchildren, Shawn (Paula) Willing, Julie Willing(Graham Woade) and Laura Willing, Jill (Patrick) Cosgrove, Brett Welcher, Kerri (Timothy) Doran, Kimberly Welcher and Sharon Cordello; great grandchildren, Jackson and Mackenzie Doran and Sadie Cosgrove. She is also survived by her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jane and Gordon DeMato; nieces, Nancy Goodspeed, Pat Tonweber, Cindy Wall and Jeanie Hanas; nephews, Dan Welcher, William Leggett, Jr., Ross Leggett, and Thomas DeMato; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
Friends may call from 10AM – NOON Saturday, March 19th, 2016 at the THOMAS E. BURGER FUNERAL HOME, 735 East Avenue in Hilton. A Memorial Service will follow at NOON at the funeral home. The family wishes at this time to acknowledge with such gratitude the loving, warm care given to Jane during her residence at GrandeVille Living Community. They are also most thankful for the respect and compassionate treatment provided by Dr. Daniel Zatreanu and the staff both on the 4100 and 2400 floors of Unity. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the charity of your choice.
It was Jane’s wish to donate her body to the University of Rochester Anatomical Gift Program for purposes of furthering research and learning.
