Obituary of Ursula H. Duel

Hilton/Rochester: Ursula H. Duel passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center. She was born August 14, 1934 in Rochester, NY, a daughter of Paul K. and Charlotte Scholtz Hering. Ursula retired as a school bus driver from the Hilton Central School District. She spent years serving as an EMT, priding herself in being the first female member of the Hilton Ambulance Corps. She received the 1987 “Rookie of the Year� award from the Rochester Crusaders, of which she was a member for many years. She is survived by her children, Kurt G. (Beth) Duel of Rochester, NY, Lisa J. (Garry) Pentz of Montoursville, PA, along with their father Guy E. (Maryellen) Duel; granddaughter Emma Pentz, several nieces and nephews, all who held a special place in her heart, her “adopted� daughter, Stacey (Steve) Orlen and a special “grandson�, Joshua Cranmer. She was a proud supporter of whatever her family was involved in, from rooting on her son at the stock car races to cheering on her kids in marching activities. Friends will remember her for her warm smile and her sense of humor, along with her loving personality. She was predeceased by her parents, and her sister, Eva Nersinger. Friends are invited to call Saturday, February 13th from 1-3 PM at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., Hilton, where a Service will be held at 3 PM after calling.
