Obituary of Thomas W. Johnson

Hilton: October 10, 2015, age 59. Thomas passed away peacefully at home, survived by his loving wife, Diane Johnson; children, Jerry Cooper (Joadee Spatula), Kim (Tod) Ruthven, Heather Trobia (Nic Petrone), Jennifer (Richard) Tollis; grandchildren, Timothy Trobia, Isabella Petrone, Hunter & Mackenzie Ruthven and Landon & Kaylyn Tollis; siblings, Bruce (Kathy) Johnson & Cindy Johnson and nieces and nephews; and many friends. Tom is remembered as being a marvelous family man and great father. He was kind and benevolent in all his ways. He was a recipient of the Heroic Act Award in 1986. He also was honored by the United Way of Greater Rochester for contributions to our community through the many Forks Park / United Way softball tournaments. Family and friends are invited to call Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., 735 East Avenue, Hilton. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Leo’s Church in Hilton, Friday at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hilton Fire Dept., 120 Old Hojack Lane, Hilton, NY 14468 in Tom’s memory.
