Obituary of James T. Appleton

Hilton:  On October 26, 2017.  James was predeceased by his sons, Robert Louis and Thomas James Appleton.  He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ruth (Beikirch) Appleton; his children, Bill (Patty) Appleton, Ronald Appleton, Stephen (Loreen) Appleton & Linda (Anthony) Gaudino; his 9 grandchildren, Audra (Mike) Wright, Kayla, Kyle, Natalie, Ashley, Naomi, & Leah Appleton, Alex & Tabby Leicht; his 1 great-grandson, Caleb Wright; and his sisters-in-law, Marian Wickes, Dorothy Latone, Joyce (Roger) King & Barbara Beikirch.

James was a Veteran of the US Air Force, serving during the Korean War. He was an avid hunter, snowmobiler and golfer. He was a Treasurer of the Town of Greece Senior Council and a 40 year member of the Triggers Square Dance Club. James retired from Kodak, after 31 years. He loved spending time with his family.
 

Friends may call Monday, October 30th, from 4 -7 p.m. at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., 735 East Avenue, Hilton and are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Tuesday, October 31st at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mark's Church, Kuhn Road.  Interment will be held in Parma Union Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing may contribute to St. Mark's Church, 54 Kuhn Rd., Rochester, NY 14612 or The Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd., Fairport, NY  14450 in memory of James.
