Obituary of Maurice "Skip" Hyde

Rochester/Ft. Myers: Maurice “Skip” Hyde passed away on May 10, 2018 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret (2003) and his daughter, Diane Conover.  He is survived by his children, Debbie (Tom) Grace & John (Kathy) Hyde; his siblings, Nancy (Paul) Ringelstein, Carol Bonczyk & Scoop (Marcia) Hyde; his 6 grandchildren, Michele (Jeff) Zimmer, Matt, Brad & Patrick Grace, Rick (Melissa) Hyde and Erin (Scott) Korn; his 6 great-grandchildren, Samantha Grace, Parker & Conner Zimmer, Lucas & Margaret Korn and Joshua Hyde; and many nieces & nephews.

Skip was a US Marine Veteran.  His love of the water began with sailing at the Genesee Yacht Club and boating on the St Lawrence River.  He enjoyed summers at his cottage in the 1000 Islands and winters in Ft Myers, Florida.  He had a soft spot for desserts and  his grandkids.  Neither were ever refused.

All are invited to attend Skip's Memorial Service on Monday, July 30th at 10 AM at Spiritus Christi, 121 N. Fitzhugh St., Rochester, NY 14614.

Inurnment will take place in Riverside Cemetery.
