Obituary of Nancy J. Carlin
Brockport - Nancy J. Carlin passed to heaven on the morning of Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the age of seventy-eight. She was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on April 18, 1943, but enjoyed her later life as a Western New Yorker in Rochester and Buffalo.
Nancy was predeceased by her beloved son, Charlie; her brother, David Eastlake; her mother, Virginia Fisher; her uncle, John Blickenstaff; and her husband, Charles Carlin.
She is survived by her dear sister, Judith Eastlake; her Aunt Rose Blickenstaff; her dear cousins, Bob and Lynn Blickenstaff and their families; her daughter, Kim Brownfield Turner; her grandson, Christopher Turner; and her friend, Karen B. Leidig.
Nancy loved to cook and bake, and in her later years truly enjoyed reading recipes from magazines and cookbooks. She shared her delicious cookies with family and friends. Blessed with a talent for writing, she wrote poems and stories expressing her creativity. A woman of great faith, Nancy will be remembered for her joyful spirit and her love of laughter.
Nancy's arrangements will be held privately at the convenience of the family. She will be interred in Parma Union Cemetery.
Special thanks to the ICU unit at Rochester General Hospital for the kind, pro-active and diligent staff who showed Nancy compassion, gentleness and great care from her admission there until her passing.
