Obituary of Joan M. Robinson

Hilton - Joan M. Robinson passed away on August 31, 2021, at the age of 88.  She was predeceased by her husband of 27 years, Robert H. Robinson; her parents, Charles and Pauline Mallaber; her siblings and in-laws, Anna (Lawrence) Hinkley, Albert (Ruth Rymer) Mallaber, Helene (Edmund) Fuchs; her niece and god-child, Charlene (Hinkley) Boatman; and her grandson, Casey Koster. She is survived by her children, Rick (Ann Johnson) Lemcke, Mike (Jeanette) Lemcke, JoAnn (Paul) Fox, and Jane Lemcke Gebhardt; her 19 grandchildren; her 25 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Raymond (Shirley) Mallaber, and Gerald (Mariann) Mallaber; her sister, Carol Mallaber; her 2 step-daughters, Lynne Robinson-Williamson, and Constance (Daniel) La Cour of Texas; and her good friend, Beate Weber.

Joan graduated from Charlotte High School in 1951. She was a 4-H member for many years and was employed at Hilton Central School for 23 years as a Secretary for the Transportation Office.  

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, September 3, 2021, from 4-7 pm at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, 735 East Avenue, Hilton. Joan's Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Leo The Great Catholic Church, 110 Old Hojack Lane, Hilton. Interment immediately following in Parma Union Cemetery.
