Obituary of Lorraine E. Ophardt

Lorraine  E. Ophardt left to join our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, at age 84, on November 16, 2021 in Greece, NY.  She was predeceased by her parents, Carl (1971) and Edna (2004); and brother Arnold (1999); and brother-in-law, Jim Snyder (2021). She is survived by her sister, Marilyn (Snyder) of Chicago; and sister-in-law, Marjorie of Hilton; and by nephews, Dan, John, Andy, Eric, Doug; and nieces, Mary and Ann.

Lorraine graduated from Hilton High School (1956) and Rochester Business Institute (1960) and was a long-time Senior Administrative Assistant at Gannett Rochester Newspapers.

“Lori” was a life-long active member of St Paul Lutheran Church in Hilton, where she was baptized (1937) and confirmed (1951). She loved to travel and was a skilled baker, providing delicious treats at church functions and to elderly shut-ins.

A Memorial Service will be held at St Paul Lutheran Church on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 10:00am. All are welcome. Interment will follow the service at Parma Union Cemetery.
