I went to Trumansburg Central School and graduated with Mike’s sister Susan. I enjoyed many visits to his home and clearly remember great piano playing and harmonica playing by Mike!!!! The whole house rocked and even the neighbors could hear the music I’m sure. He had many friends in Trumansburg high school and will always be remembered by his contagious laugh and friendship!! He had a wonderful family. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

My deep condolences to Michael’s family and friends, with particular note of sympathy to my friend Karen Sangmeister who cared for him lovingly during his challenges with cancer. I didn’t know Michael, but the description of his life brought his passion for learning, intellectual curiosity, and dedication to history, the arts and science, and community organizations to life.
