Obituary of John A. Werder Sr.

Hilton - John A. Werder Sr. passed away on June 21, 2023 at the age of 82.  He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Nicole; his children, Laura Lee Werder Seeley and John A. Werder Jr.; his step-children, Steven (Valarie) Vergona and Patrick (Mary Catherine) Vergona; his grandchildren, Luke Seeley, Jacob Seeley, Jessica Werder and Alecia Werder; his great-grandchildren, Jordan, Trynity and Malia; and his sister, Marie Giudici.  John was pre-deceased by his first wife, Karen L. Werder.

John was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps.  He served with honor, earning several medals and ribbons.  He was retired from Eastman Kodak where he was a tool designer.  He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan!  In his leisure, he enjoyed playing guitar, singing, listening to his favorite music, traveling to the 1,000 Islands, fishing, and hunting deer and pheasant.  

Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, July 6, 2023 from 12:00 - 2:00 pm at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, 735 East Avenue, Hilton, where his Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, followed by Military Honors.  Interment will be at the convenience of the family.  Family and close friends are invited to attend a gathering at the Dakota Grill, 913 Roosevelt Hwy, Hilton, immediately following the services.
