We had the pleasure of meeting Nancy and Tom 10 years ago while on vacation in Florida. They were in the unit above us and we quickly became good friends. We had much in common with our new friends - family, grandchildren, sports, books and puzzles among them.
We took several day trips together and Tom was always ready to drive and to proudly show us the many interesting spots that he and Nancy had discovered. Although Tom was quiet, he enjoyed a joke and he had a very welcoming smile. He always teased me for saying “eh” as Canadians tend to do. Those were good times!
Our thoughts are with Nancy and her family at this sad time but, we know they have many special memories of Tom to comfort them.
