Obituary of Kolin J. McKain

Albion - Kolin McKain, at the age of 27, lost his life as a result of a motor vehicle accident on July 18, 2023. He is survived by his mother, Danielle French Brant; his father, Joseph McKain; his step-mother, Carrie McKain; his beloved siblings, Joey & Jayce McKain, and Taylor (Kevin) Ritchie; his grandparents, Sandra & Joseph McKain, Jacquelyn French, Rick French, Kevin & Elizabeth Corcoran, and Laurette Ireland; his great-grandmother, Diane Wood; and several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and pets. Kolin, only months prior, had lost his brother, his best friend, Peyton C. McKain. He was also predeceased by his great-grandparents, Carmen Sorino, Gordon & Sue MacPherson, and Jane MacPherson; and his uncle, Kevin McKain.

Kolin graduated from Athena High School and attended Genesee Community College. Kolin was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Boston Red Sox, and the LA Clippers, and was an avid "RuneScaper." Kol was a kind-hearted person who was deeply compassionate with a great deal of empathy for all. Kolin deeply loved his family.

Kolin shared a special bond with his younger brother, Peyton, as they were born 1 year and 17 days apart. The boys were inseparable for almost all of their lives here on earth - sharing friends, playing baseball, wrestling, and biking in the neighborhood together every day. Now Kolin and Peyton will remain united for eternity in heaven.

Family and friends are invited to Kolin's Memorial Service to be held on Wednesday, July 26th at 3:00 p.m. at Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., 735 East Avenue in Hilton.
