Obituary of Henry E. Morley Sr.
We mourn the passing of our beloved father, Henry E. Morley, Sr.
Henry E. Morley, Sr., 83, of Ogdensburg, passed away on September 20, 2018 at McLeod Seacoast Hospital, North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
A Funeral Mass celebrating his life will be held at 10 AM on Friday, September 28 at Notre Dame Church, 125 Ford Avenue in Ogdensburg. There will be no prior calling hours. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family
Henry is survived by his seven children, Andy (Ann) Morley of Myrtle Beach, Thomas Morley of Ogdensburg, Karen (Gary) Gerken of Watertown, Brian (Lisa) Morley of Ogdensburg, MaryElaine (Marshall) Cline of Texas, Henry (LeAnn) Morley of Ogdensburg and Memory Anne Esposito of Watertown. He is also survived by his brother, Broc (Patsy) Morley of Ogdensburg; sisters, Gail Beabes of Pennsylvania and MaryCatherine Weathers of Florida; 27 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Memory S. Morley; daughter, Ann Memory Morley; parents, William & Bernadette Morley; brother, William Morley; father & mother-in-law, Lawrence & Evelyn Sholette and sister-in-law, Marie Sholette.
Henry was born March 13, 1935 in Ogdensburg, New York, the son of William and Bernadette Morley. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1954. He founded his construction business, H.E. Morley and Sons Construction Company, which built and remodeled many homes and businesses. On January 28, 1956, he married Memory Sholette at St. Mary’s Cathedral. For 45 years, Memory acted as bookkeeper in their business.
Henry was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and the Elks Club.
