Obituary of Kenneth A. Longer

Kenneth A. Longer, age 68, of Kendall, New York, passed away on Friday, April 12th, 2019 in Hayesville, North Carolina. He was born in Sunbury, Pennsylvania.

Kenneth was a Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the United States Army. He worked for Kodak for 34 years, retiring in 2005 as a supervisor. Kenneth was a member of the Brockport Free Methodist Church in Brockport, New York. He belonged to the Bedford Light Artillery.  He was a private and served as Chaplain; also active in the Conservative Party and SCOPE. Kenneth enjoyed gardening and deer hunting.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Deborah K. Longer; his sons, Jacob Longer of Kendall, NY and Daniel Longer of Rosedale, MD; a daughter, Katherine Wood of Hayesville, NC; brothers, Glen Longer of Hilton, NY, Robert Longer & wife Sandra of Lyons, NY, and Steve Longer of Canaseraga, NY; and two grandchildren, Toby Wood & Carter Longer.

All are invited to calling hours on Friday, April 19th from 4 - 7 PM at the Thomas E, Burger Funeral Home, Inc, 735 East Avenue in Hilton. Kenneth's Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 20th at the Brockport Free Methodist Church.

Burial will be held with Military Honors in Parma Union Cemetery.
